Personally i think it’s best to have your first conversation face to face that means even if other people are there, go out of your way to speak to them. But if you don’t run into them again it may be a problem, do you possibly know any of his friends? If you do try talking to them and getting them to intro you guys if not and you really want to get to know him then message him on fb, but depending on what you say and how he reads the message he may not respond, but if you say he wants to get to know you and might be shy or something it can work out in your favour.
